What an array of prizes for the Charity Day at Teesside. Helen Pickersgill had done a great job in selecting some lovely prizes, and stored them for us for over a year in her wardrobe. Minus the chocolates and biscuits which she very kindly ate before their "use by" date. She replaced them, of course!
Again, a disappointing number of entries, which has become the norm for stroke play events. Or, had they seen the weather forecast? It rained and rained all day. Not so bad at the beginning of the competition, but by the end, the last couple of greens were flooded. In spite of this, there were some good scores and we enjoyed the day.
Many thanks to Maureen Wynn and her helpers for looking after us on the day and for selling over £100 worth of raffle tickets.
