Yet another lovely sunny day on a golf course well prepared for the following ladies Open on the next day.
Lainey Hunt ran a very efficiently organised day , and Maureen Raw , the President hosted a lovely half way house.
We will be giving the prizes at the AGM & congratulations go to the wide variety of winners, as well as those who attended & coped with lost balls & the many streams.
many thanks go to Lainey Hunt, Maureen Raw & David Raw who was the Marshall. A true family affair.

A lovely sunny but not so hot day and no rain.
Thanks to Tracey Astwood and her team, not only for holding such an efficiently run competition, but also for supplying players for those who'd lost a partner , not something that is easy to do, & very few clubs can manage.
Well done to all those who played, and especially the winners.

It turned out to be a lovely sunny day despite the torrential rain for the early starters.
A few players even rang to see if the course was open!
Some of us managed to see the pure white squirrel with the grey tail- not quite an albino, as well as the geese with the goslings which we had to move on as getting in the way of players shots.
We had 118 players turn up after cancellations by 10 players & the majority had a good day.
Many thanks to Julie Scott the Alliance Rep for organising the event and Jackie Toner the lady Captain for helping her and manning the desk for her all day. With both having competition Secretary under their belts the day was efficiently well run. Many thanks to them and their team of starters for giving the rules explaining that it was a stroke competition and no drop zone for hole 11. It gained a lot of balls in the pond that day! Also thanks to the caterers keeping us all fed & watered for the day.
Congratulations to the winners on a high scoring day
