Considering it was a stroke play we had 92 entries, which was an excellent turn out.

The Catterick ladies, with Ann Hargreaves leading, made everyone welcome and had a lovely halfway house laid on with some lovely food and drink to be had.

It was a beautiful day and the course was in great condition, with fast greens and well cut fairways.

Unfortunately for some of us, it was easy to lose balls and difficult to keep them on the greens.

However there were many players who managed both and put in some great score

Many thanks to Ann, her team on the desk, the ladies in the halfway house and of course the gentlemen starters for organising such a great event

It was a very busy day for the Romanby team lead by Julie Walker who handled the schedule magnificently, keeping everyone on time, and organising in a very proficient way.

We can't thank them enough.

Congratulations to the winners Jill Richardson & Jean Cheung with 44 pts and to all the players,

some who had to cope with heavy squalls, although generally the weather was good, despite it being a lot colder than a normal summer.

I'm sure some visited the Suitably Sporty stand and increased their wardrobe

Well done to all those who played in the Hartlepool Greensomes Salver.

We had a good turnout with 140 players in 35 groups.

Luckily, though it started off cool, it developed into a warm day with the ball running well.

Congratulations to the winners Sue Holmes and Fiona Tennick from Bishop Auckland and many thanks to the hard work of Ruth Lindley and her team for organising the day so efficiently.
