What an array of prizes for the Charity Day at Teesside. Helen Pickersgill had done a great job in selecting some lovely prizes, and stored them for us for over a year in her wardrobe. Minus the chocolates and biscuits which she very kindly ate before their "use by" date. She replaced them, of course!

Again, a disappointing number of entries, which has become the norm for stroke play events. Or, had they seen the weather forecast? It rained and rained all day. Not so bad at the beginning of the competition, but by the end, the last couple of greens were flooded. In spite of this, there were some good scores and we enjoyed the day.

Many thanks to Maureen Wynn and her helpers for looking after us on the day and for selling over £100 worth of raffle tickets.

A really good day weather wise for the 2 from 3 team event at Billingham with 117 ladies taking part. We had a couple of showers but we mostly had lovely sunshine and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

Many thanks to Helen Fawcett and to the starters for their help on the day.

Many thanks to Helen Pickersgill and her helpers for a lovely day at Blackwell Grange. We had a nearest the pin on the tricky 4th and a longest drive competition on the 14th and Helen had arranged for us to have some very welcome refreshments at her halfway house.

The number of entries was a little disappointing, but those of us who played had a lovely day and there were some really good scores, with one lady playing 5 under her handicap. Not surprisingly, Blackwell ladies featured strongly in the winning scores, followed closely by Saltburn.

The weather was kind, unlike the 2019 President's Day at Hartlepool when the wind blew and the rain poured and played havoc with our golf. Some of us were reluctant to leave the tent at the halfway house!
